Greetings!
I hope you are as excited about being a part of the
CLASSeminar as are all of us who serve on the
staff. We each have had an opportunity to be a part
of many CLASSeminars, and we know the value of the
material being taught for improving communication
skills for both the spoken and written word, for
personal, business and ministry purposes. We have
seen God use the environment at the CLASSeminar to
touch peoples' lives and give them new direction.
This history gives us an added edge in our
enthusiasm for the CLASSeminar. After the three
days at the Nashville CLASSeminar November 12-14,
2007, I believe you too, will be glad you have had
the opportunity to participate. The CLASSeminar

PROFESSIONAL
TRACK
Each
day everyone in the Professional Track will have an
opportunity to give a brief presentation in a small
group setting. Monday and Tuesday presentations
will be spontaneous, and the Wednesday presentation
will be assigned at the end of the day on
Tuesday.
Please
remember to bring your Bible and a pen or pencil.
You will be given a workbook at check-in on Monday
morning. We will be ready to check you in and give
you the seminar materials beginning at 8:30 a.m.
The seminar is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. - 6:00
p.m. However, with the enthusiasm we have sensed
for this CLASSeminar, we expect it will be one of
the best ever. When the audience is so eager to
learn and laugh at everything, it fuels Florence
and the staff and we give even more than we
intended. The only problem is that in order for us
to give more, it takes more time, and we tend to
run over. Please plan your schedule in such a way
that you have flexibility.
If
you have friends who are still wishing to attend,
please ask them to call us at 800/433-6633. We will
be able to accept a limited number of registrations
at the door; however, we would appreciate it if
those people would call CLASServices by November 8
so we will have enough supplies for
them.
In
addition to giving you these details, I am writing
today to encourage you to plan to get the most from
your CLASSeminar experience. You will notice there
are several items in this package that are designed
to prepare you for the three days at the
CLASSeminar and assist us in meeting your needs.
First, please take a few minutes now and fill out
the brief Professional Track Survey we have
enclosed. After completing the survey, please
return it to our offices as soon as possible. (If
you have already sent in the Professional Survey
from the web site, there is no need to send in a
duplicate copy.) This will enable us to customize
the program's content to insure that it meets
everyone's needs and places you with the group
leader and group most appropriate for your
interests.
Also
enclosed, you will find a copy of the Wired That
Way Personality Profile. Please complete the
profile and score it prior to attending the
CLASSeminar. On Monday there will be a section on
the Personalities and how they affect your
communication style. Having completed the profile
in advance will offer you a greater understanding
of the subject as it is addressed. Please do NOT
return the Personality Profile back to
CLASServices, but it would be helpful for you to
bring it to the seminar.
Four
recordings are also provided to prepare you for
some of the teaching at the CLASSeminar. The first
recording is Florence's testimony, Behind the
Personality. Listening to this in advance will
give you valuable background on Florence. The
second recording is one by Marita, Personality
Puzzle. In case you are not familiar with our
teaching on the Personalities, this will give you a
foundation for the teaching on communication styles
on Monday. The third recording is Florence's
popular message entitled How Good People Get
Into Trouble. On Wednesday, there will be a
section on Bible teaching, and she will use this
presentation as an example. The final recording is
Florence's classic presentation on Silver
Boxes. We will reference this presentation on
Tuesday afternoon and it will be helpful to give
you an encouraging mindset as you head into your
small groups each day. These recordings are in a
page that will allow you to insert them into the
notebook you will receive at the CLASSeminar.
Please listen to all four recordings prior to
attending the CLASSeminar.
If
you have a writing project you are currently
working on, please bring it. The communication
teachings will spark many new ideas and directions
for your work. The same holds true for any speaking
promotional materials you may be working on,
members of the staff will be available and may be
able to review it. Most of the staff members are
active in their personal speaking ministries. They
will have samples of their promotional materials
available and will be happy to help you in any way
they can.
CONTINUING
EDUCATION UNITS (CEU)
The
CLASSeminar will qualify for CEUs with many
seminaries, educational institutions, and
professional associations. Because each
organization's requirements and forms are
different, you will need to contact the
organization from which you wish to obtain CEUs. If
we can easily provide the required information, we
will not charge you additional fees. However, if
the organization asks for information outside the
norm, we will charge you the additional amount to
cover our extra expenses in generating
documents.
STAFF
Monday morning just after the opening of the
CLASSeminar, our staff will be introducing
themselves and sharing a little bit about their
ministry and area of expertise. Plan to take some
notes during that time. If one or two of the team
sounds like the person you need to talk to, don't
be shy. Each staff member is happy to answer your
specific questions during breaks and at meal times.
If you can't get everything you wish to discuss
covered during those times, you can simply slip out
of the general session to meet with the staff
person of your choice. All of us are there to serve
you and make your time at the CLASSeminar as
beneficial as possible.
ATTIRE
The
weather is expected to be cool to mild in Tennessee
in November with normal temperatures averaging from
the low 40's to the high 50's, but please remember
that we will be in "climate control." We suggest
you visit a weather web site such as
www.weather.com
and search by zip code 37217 to aid you in packing
appropriate clothing. If you get cold or hot
easily, I suggest you bring clothes with a
removable jacket or sweater so you will be
comfortable. Most people who attend the CLASSeminar
dress in business casual or dressy sportswear. In
respect to our host location, we ask that you wear
nothing too low, too high or too tight (men--this
doesn't exempt you from wearing a tie if you wish
to do so for your presentation). Most attendees
prefer to dress professionally on the third day
since your presentation will be more closely
critiqued by the members of your small group and
the group leader.
ON-SITE
RESOURCES
We
will have a complete selection of Florence and
Marita's books available at the CLASSeminar, as
well as books and tapes by the other staff members
and additional supplies to enhance your speaking
and writing.

PAYMENT
& CANCELLATION
If
you paid a deposit and have a balance due, the full
funds must be paid at least 30 days before the
first day of the CLASSeminar to receive the early
registration discount. If you have an emergency and
have to cancel, you will receive a refund less a
$100 nonrefundable deposit if we receive
cancellation notice at least one business day prior
to the start of the seminar. Or with a $25 fee you
could transfer the registration to another seminar
to be held within a year.
CLASSERVICES
BROCHURES

brochures or would like to help promote the
CLASSeminar in other ways, contact
Justine@classervices.com.
I
am looking forward to seeing you at the
CLASSeminar. It is going to be a great three days.
Be sure to come well rested. If you have additional
questions regarding the Professional Track or the
