Certified Personality Trainer Application Registration for the PTW may be made prior to completing this application. With the goal of maintaining high standards of quality for all Certified Personality Trainers, all those seeking certification must meet the following initial requirements: 1. You must be proficient in the area of speaking/training. The Personality Trainer Workshop will not be teaching speaking skills. To aid us in determining your skill level, please return a copy of this form with at least two letters of reference which address your skill level in presenting before a group. These letters do not need to be obtained specifically for this purpose and may be general letters of thanks from previous engagements as long as there is specific mention of your skill. Additionally, if you have not attended CLASS, it is recommended but not required. The complete CLASSeminar is available on tape through CLASS, 800/433-6633. 2. You must be familiar with the teaching of Florence Littauer on the subject of the Personalities. While the training sessions will fully develop all areas of the subject, all those seeking certification must come to the training with a basic understanding of the general concepts of the Personalities so that questions regarding basics do not hold back the other participants. To insure that you have this basic knowledge, please read Personality Plus, Your Personality Tree, Personality Puzzle and Getting Along With Almost Anybody. (If you can not find any of the titles in your local bookstore, you may order them with a credit card by calling 800/433-6633.) Then in the space provided below or on a separate piece of paper, explain the basic concept of each book and how they differ from one another (in a brief paragraph, fifty words or less). 4. You must have plans and ideas as to how you will use this training in your own professional arena. For example, some of our Certified Personality Trainers are licensed therapists and use the training within their practice and in seminars they present within that context. Another is a management consultant who uses the training with her clients. Several others are professional speakers who use the subject within their programs. Others are Bible study or Sunday School teachers who use the concepts with their churches. Another has no official "profession" but has taught these concepts in small groups including the board of her home owners association.
