Robbins
Funny
- Insightful - Entertaining -
Enthusiastic
From
the moment Kathryn enters a room, you can feel it -
anticipation - excitement - a sense that something
wonderful just might happen! And it does! Her
genuine transparency comes through in the
insightful examples she gives her audiences as she
helps them understand the basic principles of how
each of us is uniquely different from one another.
She inspires an "Aha!" moment that changes how we
view life and other people, empowering us to live
our lives according to the law of "love your
neighbor as yourself."
As
the mother of five sons and married to her husband
Steve, since 1978, she has had plenty of
opportunities to practice what she preaches. Not
only is she an expert tear wiper, sliver remover,
frequent emergency room visitor, and warden, she
has run a successful bridal business for over 20
years. She now owns and operates an innovative
jewelry business, which offers jewelry pieces made
with the 12 stones of the New Jerusalem in each
design.
Kathryn
is a graduate of CLASS (Christian Leaders, Authors,

and churches across the country.
She

Personalities with friends and family!

Topics:

Creating
a Personality that's all Your Own
There's no end of the tests, terms and systems
available on the open market today that help us
understand ourselves. Which one is the best? It's a
little like choosing exercise equipment. "The best
one is" the one you'll use. I have found most
people have taken the DISCTM or Meyers Briggs Type
IndicatorTM at some time in their life, but when
asked, "Which type are you?" they have to stop and
think about it, "Well, I'm an Extrovert, so I think
that letter is E, or maybe it's an I; I'm not
sure." At that point, we have missed the whole
point. If the information is too confusing, we
won't use it. Information we don't apply to our
lives today ends up in tomorrow's trash. The
Personality Plus system is easy to apply today, so
our lives can be changed by tomorrow (well, maybe a
day or two after tomorrow).
There
is true freedom when we understand the forces that
motivate our actions and reactions. Personality
Plus takes the process deeper than categorization;
we start understanding what we can and cannot
change about our personalities (strengths and
struggles) and learn to identify our emotional
needs (why we do what we do). The best part is:
understanding how to meet the emotional needs of
others, so we can promote emotionally healthy
relationships. Even if we only apply a little bit
of the information, we will see changes for the
better in no time.
Each
of these sessions can be a stand alone talk of 45 -
90 minutes or they can be linked into multiple
sessions. Great for corporate team building &
conference break-out sessions.
Understanding
What Makes Us Tick (Putting the Pieces
Together)
In this session you will explore the four basic
Personality traits: Popular Sanguine, Perfect
Melancholy, Powerful Choleric and Peaceful
Phlegmatic. Having a better understanding of how
each basic Personality behaves and responds to
life, helps relieve the personal offense you feel
around certain people who are not like
us.
Understanding
Our Emotional Needs
Have you ever gotten a gift you didn't like? What
did you do with it? Chances are you did one of
three things: Gave it away, threw it away, or put
it away. Did you know we do the same thing with the
emotional gifts we give each other? In this
life-changing look at "why we do what we do." we
will discover how to give emotional gifts worth
giving and keeping.
Understanding
Personality Strengths and Struggles
Have you ever been lost at the mall? The first
thing you do is look for the map and find the "You
are here" sticker. Understanding your personality
strengths and struggles gives us a starting point
when it comes to personal growth and maturity.
Learn how to identify our unique Personality
development style.
Communicating
Personality Style
Getting your point across takes more than just
words: It takes understanding how others hear what
is being said. This session will help us learn how
to become "emotionally bilingual."
Approaching
God
How do you view God? As a military general, a
loving daddy, someone you can depend on, or a
distant god with Zeus-type qualities? This session
helps us understand our spiritual Personality
strengths and struggles.
Personalities
According to Winnie the Pooh
Who better than the lovable gang at Pooh's Corner
to help us understand the basic blends of the four
Personalities? In this fun session, we will explore
the different combinations of the Personalities
blends.
The
Spirit and the Bride say, "Come."
Years
as a bridal consultant prepared Kathryn for her
current speaking and business venture. Her company
Stones of Glory produces beautiful jewelry
containing the twelve stones mentioned in the book
of Revelation describing the New Jerusalem. In the
Old Testament a piece of jewelry was always given
as a betrothal promise. We can look at this jewelry
as our betrothal promise from Jesus.
"I
go to prepare a place for you...I will come back
and take you to be with me that you also may be
where I am." John 14:2-4 NIV
In
this talk Kathryn shares the spiritual attribute
each stone represents and shows how these qualities
are to be "put on" as bridal garments. We would
never think of walking down the aisle to meet our
bridegroom clothed only in our undergarments,
likewise, our goal as Christians is to be clothed
and ready when the wedding supper of the Lamb is
announced.
"Let
us be glad and rejoice and give him glory, for the
marriage of the Lamb has come, and his wife has
made herself ready." Rev. 19:7
This
presentation can easily be made into a "Wedding"
theme for a spring Mother and Daughter banquet or
"The King Calls His Bride" overnighter; including a
fashion show of wedding dresses past and present, a
towering wedding cake to be enjoyed by all, and
ending with an invitation to the Wedding Supper of
the Lamb!
As an overnight women's retreat, there is enough
time for everyone to make a special piece of
jewelry for herself. www.stonesofglory.com
Stilted
Love
Many people have grown up in homes where love
was conditional and acceptance was as likely to
happen as having a wish granted by a star. Such was
Kathryn's childhood. Even when she asked her
grandfather to make her a pair of stilts out of
scrap lumber he exclaimed, "That's good wood, it
can't be wasted on stilts!" Her life long message
came through loud and clear--she was not even worth
two pieces of wood. In her testimony, Kathryn tells
of how she finally came to embrace God's passionate
love for her, through the memory of two pieces of
scrap wood. By accepting God's love and rejecting
the lies spoken over her, she allowed God to heal
the deep wounds modern psychology had not been able
to fix.
(25-30 minutes) Great for Christian Women's
Club, luncheons, banquets, retreat or conference
break-out session.
But
Lord, I Was Happy Shallow: Lessons Learned in the
Deep Places
There's
nothing funny about finding out you're pregnant
with your fifth son, that is, unless it's Kathryn
telling the story! This heartfelt book shares
stories of how God's grace and mercy sustain us
through the deep places. A "must read," but start
on page 40! (You can guess who wrote this
contributing story!)
