Life is a series
of transitions. Its highways are constantly filled
with people seeking their destinies and purposes in
life. Everything Sharon Jenkins is today is because
of her journey. Sharon's journey started over 40
years ago in Queens, New York. She has literally
followed many highways in search of who God wants
her to be. At the age of eight, she decided that
self-expression was a critical part of who she is.
She began to write. In her early 20's she was
challenged to speak about the songs that flowed
from her heart. She began to talk to crowds of
people. In her forties, after years of preparation
by life's rough places, Sharon finally felt she had
something to shout about because of the victories
in her life. She began to teach. She is a published
author and she has written several Christian plays.
She has also co-authored a book of inspirational
psalms called the Songs of Three Sisters and
produced and directed two plays she wrote called
The Café of Hope and Benjamin
Thomas Worthington, Resurrected. She performed
as a dramatic reader in the poetry recital Sing
Loudly Hallelujah written and directed by K. G.
Bell.
Sharon is a
current resident of Houston, Texas. She is an
educator and often refers to herself as a "teacher
of teachers". Sharon's abilities to effectively
communicate and adapt to a wide variety of
audiences have been the keys to her success as a
speaker. She has had the privilege of sharing with
businesses, social organizations, churches, and
schools as well as at professional conferences. She
is also a public speaking coach.
The Personality
Plus program has brought clarity and direction for
the rest of Sharon's journey. Her desire is to
share this knowledge with others who are on the
highway to truth. Sharon is also a Certified
Personality Trainer with (Christian Leaders,
Authors & Speakers Services) CLASS under the
leadership of Florence and Marita Littauer and a
graduate of UPPER Class.
This dynamic
lady's goal is to always remain teachable. As a
professional, she feels that education and
application go hand in hand. She has a masters from
Oral Roberts University. Sharon is a member of
Windsor Village United Methodist Church's Christian
Entrepreneurial Organization (CEO), the Houston
Area Alliance of Black School Educators, Houston
Minority Business Council, and New Light Christian
Center Church.

People,
Positions, and Power: Understanding the Workplace
Puzzle
The workforce is a mirror of our society. We are
often placed in situations on the job where we work
with people who are not quite like us. How do we
make the adjustment? This workshop is the key to
understanding yourself and others for a more
harmonious work relationship. Sharon is concerned
about you meeting the bottom line as a team. Her
motto is "United we stand, divided we fall flat on
our faces". In this workshop she will help you get
the carpet lint out of your teeth.
The
Bee Colony: A Cultural Sensitivity Workshop
We live in a diverse world with many different
cultures. Take a look around you, every day we are
moving towards forming a global community. Sharon,
in this workshop, will better equip you for the
changing pace of society in the new millennium by
allowing you the opportunity to experience another
culture, an animal culture, The Bee Colony. She
shows you how to get the honey without being stung.
Come and enjoy an experience that will not only
enlighten but bring liberty in the "bee hive" we
call life.
Discovering
the Beauty in You
The psalmist declared that we are "fearfully and
wonderfully made". In whose image is the question?
Sometimes we get lost in the opinion of society as
to what defines beauty. This workshop is a reminder
of what our heavenly Father has said on the matter.
The creation is a reflection of the creator. Who's
molding and shaping you?
Is
This My Kid? Understanding Your Teenager
In this seminar we discuss the adolescent
phenomenon and how understanding your child's
personality not only sheds light on this
complicated creature but also improves family
relations. Sharon helps parents unravel the mystery
called "teenager" by assisting them in taking a
closer look at family dynamics. She also explores
the role each family member plays in helping that
teenager make a successful passage into adulthood.
Church
Dispelling
the Myth, The Integration of the Church and the
Public School: A Biblically Based Church
Adopt-a-Public School Program
The public school has become a mission field. The
movie "Lean on Me" is a reality in more public
school settings than we know. Churches nationwide
are accepting the call to dispel the myth of the
"separation of church and state". Others would if
they knew how to be empowered to make a difference
in their community and in the lives of these young
people. In this workshop Sharon will provide you
with practical tools to "possess this land for the
kingdom's sake" and share valuable testimonies of
other churches that have done so successfully.
Conflict
Resolution: The "WWJD" Principle
Is the biblical plan for reconciliation Christ
talks about in the book of Matthew relevant to
today's world? Let's take it another step, if so
how can I apply it in my life? Take the journey
with Sharon into God's remedy for one of the
enemy's greatest devices of deception. The "What
Would Jesus Do? (WWJD)" Principle will give you a
biblical step by step method to bring peace in
those difficult places in the body of Christ.
Singles
Single,
Separate, Unique, and Complete: The Personality
Plus Workshop for Singles
This seminar topic addresses the single Christian's
role in the Body of Christ and how it influences
one's ability to reach his/her fullest potential in
every aspect of his/her life. Sharon brings her own
personal testimony to this workshop, which empowers
singles to go on and be all that God would have
them to be to fulfill His plan and purpose for
their living single in the body of
Christ.
Discovering
God's Divine Connection
In this workshop singles will explore God's
instruction manual, the bible, for preparation for
that special someone. Esther was in preparation for
12 months in anticipation of her "night with the
king". When Mr. Or Ms. Sent by God" shows up, will
you be the blessing that God has ordained you to
be? This workshop will put you on the road to
discovering His plan for your "such a time as this"
season.
What
Does God Have to Do With
Love, Sex & Real
Life?
In this workshop Sharon will discuss issues that
face singles in the area of purity. The emphasis
will be on God's original intention for dating,
marriage and sex; scriptural answers to real life
problems such as promiscuity and same sex
relationships and discovering the pathway to
restoration for those seeking to live holy for
God.
Education
HOPE
(Having Optimism and Perseverance for Every Child):
for the At-Risk Student
Sharon brings her years of experience of working
with at-risk youth as an educator to this workshop.
Her testimony of how God created in her a teacher's
heart is a marvelous miracle. In Isaiah 54, God
declares that " more are the children of the
desolate woman". In this passage He is specifically
referring to the spiritual children He has
commissioned educators to parent. She will share
with you how you can look beyond the rough outer
exterior and see the diamond God truly intended all
children to be.
The
Student, Your Customer
In this workshop Sharon explores the
student-centered classroom and it's benefits.
Sharon believes that children are our customers and
that If we make them participants in the learning
process, they will become a part of the solution
and not the problem in classroom management. She
gives you practical ways to sell your students on
the concept of success in the classroom.
Who
Am I? Success in Life for Teenagers
This seminar is for adolescents. They are often on
a journey of self-discovery during this time in
their lives. Sharon helps them identify their
individual personality type and she assists them in
taking a closer look at their teen idols and the
characteristics in each of them that have
contributed to their personal success in life. The
goal of this workshop is to get them to work
smarter, not harder.
Business
Discovering
the Keys to Effective Networking
Sometimes the solution to a stagnant business is in
our ability to meet the right people and make the
right contacts. This workshop will provide you with
a tool kit of strategies to become a more effective
networker.
Master
Communicating: Can You Hear Me Now?
Communication is critical in building
relationships whether in the home, at the golf
course, or in the boardroom. Are you getting the
response from your customers that suggest good
customer service and satisfaction? Or are they
shouting back at you, "Can you hear me now?"
because you're so focused on telling others what
you have to offer that you don't listen for what
their true need is. In this workshop, Sharon will
help you turn the volume down.
Transitions:
How to Take Your Dream Out of Neutral
Are you holding on to a dream that you believe will
never come to pass? If so, put your car in the
drive mode, and move on down the road with Sharon
as she helps you find the fuel inside of you that
will make that dream a reality. Perhaps you were on
your way to a dream come true and got lost along
the way, this workshop will help you get back on
track and moving in the direction of your desired
destination.
