Speaker - Kay Arthur

Kay Arthur, internationally renowned author, speaker, and teacher is Executive Vice President and cofounder of Precept Ministries International. A highly inspirational leader in the Christian community for many years, her dynamic and successful ministries have brought her wide appeal and recognition worldwide. In constant demand as an inspirational and exciting speaker, she has enjoyed unparalleled success in leading Christians to move their lives forward through Precept Ministries' highly effective approach to inductive Bible study. Her ministry is indeed worldwide, as her many programs impact Christian communities in countless countries around the world. Responding to the intense demand for her ministry and teaching, relentless travel has repeatedly taken her to Israel, India, Romania, Japan, Korea, Cyprus, England, the Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Russia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Greece and Singapore. As an author, Kay's success has been phenomenal, and with 38 books already to her credit, her work is in constant demand by major publishers.

Kay and husband, Jack Arthur, founded Precept Ministries International in 1970. From its roots as a ministry for teens in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Precept Ministries International has developed into a worldwide outreach, establishing both adults and teens in the Word of God. Throughout the many successes of their Ministry, Kay and Jack have retained its key focus and commitment to teaching the study of the Bible inductively.

Kay's production as an author has been nothing short of prolific. With more than four million books in print, she has authored 39 titles published by Harvest House Publishers, Multnomah Books, and WaterBrook Press, a division of Bantam-Doubleday-Dell. She is a three-time recipient of the prestigious Gold Medallion Book Award for her very successful works: The International Inductive Study Bible: His Imprint, My Expression, and Lord, I Need Grace to Make It.

Broadcast media comprise an important segment of Kay's ministry. Her expository Bible teaching program, Precept with Kay Arthur, is a national radio and television broadcast airing fifteen minutes daily on more than two hundred outlets nationwide. Broadcast on over eight hundred outlets is Precepts From God's Word, a one-minute inspirational feature. The one-hour weekly call-in program, Precept LIVE with Kay and Jan, is aired on over 40 stations, including the Moody Network. Kay has repeatedly appeared as a guest on national radio and television programs, including The Bible Answerman, Mid-Day Connection, The 700 Club, and the National Broadcast Concert of Prayer.

Kay Arthur was born in Jackson, Michigan on November 11, 1933. She is the wife of Jack Arthur, the mother of three sons, Tom Goetz, Mark L. Goetz and David Arthur, and resides with her family in Chattanooga, TN. Kay is a graduate of St. Luke's School of Nursing, attended Case Western University, and is a graduate of Tennessee Temple University, Chattanooga, TN.
