Terry and her husband Larry found this out when they went on a mission trip to Vladivostok, Russia, in 2002. They planned to paint an orphanage and share God's love. Six months and three trips later they brought home their "souvenirs"-two 13 year-old girls! Since then they have adopted another Russian teenager and are hoping for a fourth. "After that," Terry says, "our family will be complete and I'm having my tubes tied!" What makes the story even more unusual is that Terry and Larry have both been widowed and are retired. Terry never had kids. When they adopted the girls they had five grandchildren. As a friend observed, "Most people have children and then grandchildren. You did it backwards!" And, she started with TEENAGERS from a foreign country, who didn't speak English and came from unknown backgrounds. What a way to "walk the talk!"
